When to use Direct Audio

The Direct Audio feature allows you to ingest audio directly from your computer's sound card.

This is useful when you're working with a digital mixer or a professional external audio interface and want to send high-quality audio to Line 21 for Automatic Speech Recognition.

App Audio vs. Browser Audio

The Direct Audio feature in the Line 21 App works similarly to the ASR web page.

However, the desktop app provides a more direct connection to your audio devices and is especially useful if you want to keep the audio pipeline isolated from your browser environment.
